Once you have a plan, it’s time to create a budget. We understand that every dollar counts, which is why our knowledgeable sales consultants will work with you to design a home you love—within your budget.

"The home-building process includes three main components:

  1. Land: Every homesite is unique, and each plan will fit differently on your lot. If you do not already own a lot, we can provide options that fit your budget.

  2. Site: Costs associated with preparing your land for building, including lot clearing, water wells, power, and other necessary preparations. We carefully review each site and provide a detailed estimate of all site costs involved in constructing your new home.

  3. House: The cost to build your home from the ground up."

Arranging for Financing

If you don’t have a lender, your Sales Consultant can refer you to one for your financing needs. They will ensure you get the best mortgage to suit your requirements

Sign a Contract

After you've selected your home and customized it to fit your lifestyle, it’s time to sign the contract. This is when you'll review and approve the final drawings and start planning for construction, including setting timelines, obtaining permits, and preparing the land for your new home.

Preparing Your Land

Before construction can begin, a few important steps need to be completed. Some sites require clearing or grading, and tasks like soil tests, surveys, plot plans, and obtaining permits must be addressed. Our experienced sales team will guide you through the entire process, ensuring you understand each phase of construction.

Construction

Once everything is prepared, it’s time to break ground! As construction begins, you’ll stay in constant communication with the MH Builder-Houston team. Although you may not always see activity at your home site, rest assured that progress is always being made. Below is a basic outline of the construction process for your new home:

  1. Foundation

  2. Framing

  3. Rough plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling

  4. Insulation and drywall

  5. Finish carpentry, painting, and staining

  6. Flooring and finishing touches

Final Walk Through and Move-in

Once construction is complete, we will walk you through your new home to identify and address any punch list items.
